97 (who?)
(requires flash player 8)

My first ever full length 3D animation.

Miyuki vs. the dolls that look suspiciously like powerpuffs.

Finally my major 3d assignment is finished! I dont plan on doing anything more with it. I just wanted to finish this as quick as possible. Seriously, I enjoy 2D animation so much more. But this is what my 9 months of 3D training has produced. 4 of those months I actually paid attention. :giggle:

Anyway, this was meant to have an entirely different story than there is here, where there seems to be no story whatsoever. If I had actually worked a bit more progressively during the semester, I would have probably been able to do it, but I ran out of time. It was going to be more cute and light, whereas this turned into my first attempt to make something "cool" and actiony. I'm sure alot of males may like it.

I made this specifically in cel-shading style so that i could easily edit etc in flash. However, rendering this in Flash vector format strangely creates a huge file of about 90megs, and I dont think I could have posted that on here. So I re-rendered the scenes as ultra ultra low quality jpeg sequences and then put the settings in flash to low quality in order to compress it down to 5 megs. A couple of transitions however had to be rendered as mpegs, but there are only about 2.

This is my tribute to famous video game dual wielders such as Lara Croft, Max Payne, and of course, my man-lover, Dante!
This special edition is different from the one that I will hand in (although I might also hand this in as well, just for fun) as it has the preloader, doll counter and weapon selection, plus a couple of other special effects I could only add in Flash.

Be gentle with your comments...I really did try my best...

.........ok who are we kidding, I didnt really. :evillaugh:

I'm just glad i finished it. Finishing it well is a whole other story. This is a pretty much perfunctory piece which I have little emotional attachment to.

It just doesnt feel like my style.

very nicely done! :)
The action shots were well placed aswell as I liked how you took the time to make one move for each shot basicly. When the camera went back to a previous position I was almost waiting for old animations to be reused in order to make the film. But to see a dodge and a backflip instead really made it all impressive :)
Well done!

The style is good, music choice as well, and it flowed smoothly... but the main character really was a bit too stationary, but aside from that, it was good.
