Close up photo of a delicious chocolate parfait I had the pleasure of eating several times at a Japanese Denny's, namely one in Ikebukuro.
I really wish they'd serve parfait here in Sydney. They're much more delicious than sundaes in my opinion. There's a place in Market City actually, Poporo, that has them, come to think of it. Comments

 I like that you could capture the frozen details... almost in the center of the picture - in the direction of the left bottom corner. I think the same picture would be more interesting with a purple/magenta background. Ooh, that could be an interesting look. I might see if i can do something to that effect with it.

Critiques
Since you ask for a critique here is what I see.
Vision: you have laid they shot out well by showing just enough of the ice cream to make it fit nicely in either a "rule of thirds" composition the "Golden mean" composition.
Originality: it's hard to say how original a picture is but since I have not taken any good pictures of ice cream I'd say it's original.
Technique: I wish there was a little more depth of field, it's too bad that mint leaves are not in focus. maybe if you you f/8 or f/11 you would've been able to achieve enough depth of field and not too much.
Impact: I wish you could have gotten a dark background to come all the way down and the picture so that ice cream glass of stands out better from the background and create a greater impact.
